Finalist

NASA Exceptional Scientific Achievement Medal   2017
For "Outstanding contribution to the Gamma Ray Burst (GRB) research field in proposing a new GRB prompt emission model, which solves a long lasting astrophysical problem, and in devising a relation that establishes GRBs as a new type of cosmological standard candles."

Description of the Medal: "This prestigious NASA medal–one of the highest distinctions that NASA can provide on behalf of the United States of America–is awarded to both Government and non-Government individuals for exceptional scientific contributions (specific, concrete scientific achievements) toward achievement of the NASA mission. The award is given for individual efforts that have resulted in a key scientific discovery or resulted in contribution(s) of fundamental importance in this field or significantly enhanced understanding of the field."

IUPAP Young Scientist Prize in Astrophysics (International Union of Pure and Applied Physics)   2015
For "insightful and innovative contributions towards understanding the nature of gamma ray burst prompt emission, in particular the establishment of multi-component spectra, and the discovery of a new Peak Energy – Luminosity relation showing that GRBs can be used as standard candles and thereby as unique cosmological probes."

Description of the Prize: "The IUPAP Young Scientist Prizes are awarded to recipients in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the areas of physics with the remit of the Commission."

NASA NPP Fellowship (NASA Goddard Space Flight Center)   2011

Certificate of Appreciation from NASA and Goddard Space Flight Center   2007
"In recognition of your outstanding contribution and dedication to the successful development and testing of the GLAST Large Area Telescope."
